Easy Steps to Fundraising Success

Step 1

Mark BBC Children in Need 11 - 15 November in the school planner

Make sure BBC Children in Need is in the diary, and if you haven’t already, download a free fundraising kit here.

This year, we’ve included a ‘Student Pack’, made especially for students, so your class can take charge for fundraising. The kit includes fundraising ideas, case studies of who we support, event posters and much more.

Step 2

Inspire students to fundraise with our tutor-time presentation

Show your class why they should support BBC Children in Need with our tutor-time presentation. This quick 10min presentation can be shown in form time, without interrupting the school day.

Your students will hear from inspiring young people who the charity has helped to support, and hear directly how the money you raise has made a difference in their lives.

The presentation comes with teacher notes and tells you how to get involved in BBC Children in Need this year.

Step 3

Support your student's fundraising with Twinkl tools

Twinkl have created a host of resources to support fundraising for BBC Children in Need in schools.

There are lots of materials available for teachers and students, including fundraising action plans, assembly presentations and curriculum-linked classroom resources.

Check out the full suite of resources Twinkl has developed – all tailored to secondary phase level.

Step 4

Boost your fundraising by getting colleagues involved!

It’s not just down to the students to raise money – teachers you can get involved too! It doesn’t matter how big or small, any extra funds raised will make a real difference to children in local communities just like yours.

We’ve got some fun and hassle-free ways to get involved – from a quick staff-room collection, to getting a group of you to join in with our legendary annual Duck Race sweepstake on 15 Nov – its really simple to make an even bigger difference this appeal!

The film will be hitting the big screen soon, but schools fundraising for BBC Children in Need get a sneak peak now!

Especially tailored to secondary schools, this is the perfect way to get together, put on a performance and raise money for BBC Children in Need.
