Explore our Inspiring Stories & Resources
We know it can be tough for young people to open up and feel comfortable expressing themselves, which is why we’ve asked Lady Leshurr, Ade Adepitan, and Nikki Lilly to share their own experiences and top tips with students, encouraging them to be themselves and proud of who they are.
We’ve also got inspirational stories from people who have truly embraced who they are, plus free wellbeing classroom resources.
Together We Can Change Young Lives
The pandemic has been hard on us all, but for young people across the UK already facing challenges, it’s made life even more difficult.
That’s why this year more than ever, we need your help to reach even more young people in local communities like yours.
The Difference Your Fundraising Makes
£100 can pay for a series of one-to-one support sessions for a teenage girl experiencing mental health issues, helping her to feel less alone and isolated and improve her emotional wellbeing.
£200 pays for a new bed for a child whose family are struggling financially due to Covid-19 helping them to rest and maintain their wellbeing.
£300 that a two-year-old boy with a life threatening condition and his family are supported by a palliative care nurse who helps them find joy and spend valuable time together.

From coast to coast, in towns and cities right across the UK, BBC Children in Need is out there making a difference.
The amazing projects we support help change the lives of disadvantaged children and young people all over the country.
