Full Prize Description

There is one prize consisting of:
- a 1973 Jaguar E-Type Series III Roadster (the Car). Car specification:
- Year: 1973. Restored in 1985 and 2018. Full engine rebuild in 2023.
- Transmission: manual
- Engine: 5.3 litre, V12. Number 7S-9703-SA
- Exterior colour: primrose
- Interior colour: black
- Drive side: right hand drive
- Registration: HVG 870L
- Chassis number 1S1687
- BBC Children in Need will cover insurance costs up to £500 to allow the winner only to drive the car (Car Insurance). The balance of any premiums above this amount must be paid by the winner.
- a weekend Glamping Premium family pass for CarFest which will be held on the weekend of 23 – 25 August 2024 at Laverstoke Park Farm, Hampshire (the CarFest Pass).
The winner is responsible for arranging their own Car Insurance and must provide evidence of the cover and cost, along with their bank details, to BBC Children in Need who will then reimburse the cost up to a maximum of £500. Car Insurance must be in place before BBC Children in Need can deliver the Car to the winner.
The Car will come with available restoration records. The winner will need to tax the vehicle upon receipt but can apply to renew the Car’s historic vehicle registration meaning that there will be nothing to pay (subject to any changes in government tax policy).
The CarFest Pass is a family pass and will be for the winner and three guests (2 adult tickets and two child tickets for children aged 6-16) to attend CarFest 2024 on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. This includes onsite Glamping and premium festivities for the Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
The CarFest Pass does not include travel insurance, the cost of travel to and from Carfest and/or any food, drink, spending money, tax or personal expenses. Any other costs incurred in addition to those set out above and that are incidental to the fulfilment of the prize are the responsibility of the winner (and their guests). There is free car parking available at the festival site.
