In 2025, Nick Knowles and the DIY SOS team were joined by BBC One’s Morning Live for the first time in a special collaboration build in aid of BBC Children in Need. The Joshua Tree charity in Cheshire, a charity supported by BBC Children in Need, were surprised with the news that they’d be benefitting from the build. Nick Knowles and his trusty team were joined by Morning Live presenters Gethin Jones and Helen Skelton, who donned their steel toe capped boots, high viz and hard hats to help make a difference to children and their families affected by cancer. They were joined by an army of volunteers as they extended the charity’s building – in just 10 days.
