On Friday 13th November 2026, teams of radio DJs will spin profits on the BBC’s antiques game show Bargain Hunt to raise money for BBC Children in Need in an epic special episode.

Christina Trevanion is the MC for this celebrity battle between two teams of BBC Radio 1, Radio 2 and Asian Network presenters. Swapping sweet tunes for sweet deals are Radio 2’s OJ Borg and his teammate Melvin Odoom, who are up against Asian Network’s Nikita Kanda and Radio 1’s Maia Beth. Let’s hope their antiques experts Izzie Balmer and Nick Hall are on the same wavelength, as they hunt for antiques and collectibles among hundreds of stalls at Ardingly in West Sussex.

After their hour is up, OJ meets 11 year old Monika and her younger brother, Jake whose father sadly passed away on Christmas Day in 2024. The siblings explain how they’re now getting support from Jigsaw, a bereavement project who receive funding from BBC Children in Need, to support children and young people who facing or coping with the death of a loved one.

Then it’s over to a packed auction in Chippenham, Wiltshire, where Izzie surprises her team with a Japanese bonus buy and Nick hopes his surprise item will ‘take off’ with the bidders. Plus, auctioneer Tim Weeks sells dozens more special lots all to raise lots of money for BBC Children in Need!
