BBC Children in Need Prize Draw Terms and Conditions Secondary School (Amazon Vouchers) – 2025

By entering this prize draw you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.

Eligibility and How to Enter

1. The prize draw is open to all registered Secondary Schools in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, except anyone closely connected with the prize draw or any BBC Children in Need employees or relatives. Entrants must be authorised by the Secondary School to enter and be 18 or over.

2. To enter, you must complete the ‘sign up to BBC Children in Need’ process online at https://www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/schools/secondary/secondary-schools-sign-up-form/ and selecting ‘Secondary School’ as your school phase.

3. There are no other methods of entry. No payment, purchase or investment is necessary to be eligible to enter the prize draw.

4. Entries open Wednesday 17th September 2025 and close at 23:59PM on Friday 14^th November 2025.

5. Only one entry Secondary School will be allowed: only the first entry will be considered, with all future entries subsequently discounted. Entries from third party agents or bulk entries will not be eligible for the prize draw.

6. Entries received after the closing date will not be included in the prize draw. BBC Children in Need will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by it for any reason, by the closing date, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions.

7. Unclear entries will not be eligible for the prize draw and acceptance of an entry is subject to BBC Children in Need’s reasonable discretion.

Prizes

8. There will be 12 winners in total.

9. The 12 separate prizes are:

• For the first two names (drawn in accordance with paragraph 12) 1x £500 Amazon Gift Card each;
• For the final ten names (drawn in accordance with paragraph 12) 1x £50 Amazon Gift Card each.

Any applicable terms and conditions for the Amazon gift card will apply including the expiry date specified for the relevant gift card.

10. The prizes are as stated (subject to paragraph 11 below). There is no cash alternative and the elements of the prize cannot be sold or transferred by the winners in any circumstances. Winners shall not be entitled to change their prizes. For the avoidance of doubt, unless specified above, no other costs or expenses will be covered by BBC Children in Need.

11. BBC Children in Need reserves the right to replace the prizes with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so. Accordingly, the descriptions of the prizes are provided without a warranty of any kind. In no event shall BBC Children in Need be liable for any claim demand or damages caused to an entrant by reason of a description of the prize being inaccurate, incomplete, or for the prize being otherwise in any way different to the entrant’s expectations.  BBC Children in Need reserve the right to cancel the prize draw at any stage.

Winning and Claiming the Prize

12. Within 21 days (being Monday – Friday) (Friday 5^th December 2025) after the closing date, the winners of this prize draw will be drawn at random by BBC Children in Need from all valid entries received. The winners will be randomly selected using a number generator and this will be completely independent and unbiased. BBC Children in Need’s decision is final on all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.

13. The winners will be contacted by email and/or phone. BBC Children in Need will endeavour to notify the winners by Friday 5^th December 2025. If, after reasonable attempt, a winner does not respond to claim their prize within 5 working days (being Monday – Friday) of our first contact, or a winner refuses the prize for any reason, BBC Children in Need reserves the right to offer the prize to the next randomly selected Secondary School that validly entered the prize draw.

14. The prizes will be sent out by no later than Tuesday 30^th June 2026. Gift cards will be sent as electronic gift cards to the email address used to enter the prize draw.  This must be a work email address for the relevant Secondary School you are entering.

15. The winners must provide their full name, postal address and email address to BBC Children in Need at the point at which they respond and claim their prize and further details to be sent to.

16. By entering the prize draw you agree that, if you win, BBC Children in Need may publicise your Secondary School’s name and county. If you object to any or all of your Secondary School’s name or county being published, please contact BBC Children in Need at [email protected]. In such circumstances, BBC Children in Need must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request.

17. Proof of sending an entry shall not constitute proof of receipt. No responsibility is accepted for entries that are lost, misdirected, late, damaged, incomplete or illegible, nor for any associated costs. Responsibility will not be accepted by the BBC Children in Need for prize draw entries that are lost, including as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, network, server or software failure of any kind.

18. BBC Children in Need shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, except for death or personal injury, arising out of the administration of prize draws, or out of the winners’ or any third parties’ enjoyment of the prizes.

22. We reserve the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so in our opinion, or if circumstances arise outside our control. We may also amend these terms and conditions at any stage and in any way.

23. These terms and conditions and all other matters arising out of this prize draw (including but not limited to tortious matters) are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the English courts have jurisdiction.

Privacy Notice

The email address provided will be used to contact the winner.  We will ask the winner for a mailing address to fulfil the prize.  BBC Children in Need is the data controller for any personal data you give for the prize draw and is responsible for how the information is used.  We may work with approved third-party providers to help us fulfil this prize.
