BBC Children in Need ‘Schools Fundraising’ Prize Draw Terms and Conditions – 2025/26

By entering this prize draw you will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions. 

Eligibility and How to Enter  

1. The prize draw is open to all early years schools (including nurseries), primary schools and secondary schools in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, except anyone closely connected with the prize draw or any BBC Children in Need employees or relatives. Entrants must be authorised by the school to enter and be 18 or over.   

1. To enter, you must complete the  ‘schools fundraising prize draw ‘ form online here. 

1. There are no other methods of entry. No payment, purchase or investment is necessary to be eligible to enter the prize draw. 

1. Entries open at 00:01 on Tuesday 9th December.  There will be two draws, the first for the Book Prizes (1x Tom Fletcher x Penguin Book Bundle and 5x Pudsey and the Thread of Hope Books)  and the second for the Amazon Voucher Prizes. Entries close at 23:59 on Friday 12th December 2025 for the Book Prizes, but remain open until 23:59 on Tuesday 31st March 2026 for the Amazon Voucher prizes. 

1. Only one entry per school will be allowed: only the first entry will be considered, with all future entries subsequently discounted. Entries from third party agents or bulk entries will not be eligible for the prize draw. 

1. Entries received after the respective closing dates will not be included in the respective prize draws. BBC Children in Need will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by it for any reason, by the closing dates, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions.  

1. Unclear entries will not be eligible for the prize draw and acceptance of an entry is subject to BBC Children in Need’s reasonable discretion.  

Prizes 

1. There will be six (6) winners for the Book Prizes and three (3) winners for the Amazon Voucher Prizes (nine (9) in total). 

1. The nine (9) separate prizes are:  

1. for the first name (drawn in accordance with paragraph 14) 1x Tom Fletcher x Penguin Book Bundle (as further described at paragraph 10 below);  

1. for the next 5 names (drawn in accordance with paragraph 14) 1x Pudsey and the Thread of Hope Book each; and 

1. For the final 3 names (drawn in accordance with paragraph 17) 1 x £100 Amazon gift card each. 

1. The Tom Fletcher x Penguin Book Bundle (as per paragraph 9(a)) will comprise of the following: 

• There’s an Elf in your book 

• The Dinosaur that Pooped a Reindeer 

• The Christmasaurus picture book 

• The Christmasaurus and the Night Before Christmas 

• The Christmasaurus (middle grade) 

• The Christmasaurus Cracker 

• The Christmasaurus and the Winter Witch 

• The Christmasaurus and the Naughty List 

•  A Christmasaurus Carol 

• Pudsey and the Thread of Hope 

1. Any applicable terms and conditions for the Amazon gift card will apply including the expiry date specified for the relevant gift card. 

1. The prizes are as stated (subject to paragraph 13 below). There is no cash alternative and the elements of the prize cannot be sold or transferred by the winners in any circumstances. Winners shall not be entitled to change their prizes. For the avoidance of doubt, unless specified above, no other costs or expenses will be covered by BBC Children in Need. 

1. BBC Children in Need reserves the right to replace the prizes with an alternative prize of equal or higher value if circumstances beyond our control makes it necessary to do so. Accordingly, the descriptions of the prizes are provided without a warranty of any kind. In no event shall BBC Children in Need be liable for any claim, demand or damages caused to an entrant by reason of a description of the prize being inaccurate, incomplete, or for the prize being otherwise in any way different to the entrant’s expectations.  BBC Children in Need reserve the right to cancel the prize draw at any stage. 

Winning and Claiming the Prize 

Book Prizes  

1. For the 1x Tom Fletcher x Penguin Book Bundle and 5x Pudsey and the Thread of Hope Books, within one working day (Monday – Friday) after the closing date, the winners of this prize draw will be drawn at random by BBC Children in Need from all valid entries received.  The winners will be randomly selected using a number generator and this will be completely independent and unbiased. BBC Children in Need’s decision is final on all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.  

1. The winners for the 1x Tom Fletcher x Penguin Book Bundle and 5x Pudsey and the Thread of Hope Books will be contacted by phone and/or email.  BBC Children in Need will notify the winners from Monday 15th December 2025. If, after reasonable attempt, a winner does not respond to claim their prize by 17:00 on Friday 9th January 2026 or a winner refuses the prize for any reason, or is unable to accept the prize, BBC Children in Need reserves the right to offer the prize to the next randomly selected school that validly entered the prize draw.  

1. The Book Prizes will be sent out by no later than Friday 16th January 2026 and must be delivered to the school address for the relevant school you are entering.  BBC Children in Need will try to send the books earlier than this date if the winner contacts us before Wednesday 17th December 2025 but this is not guaranteed.  

Amazon Voucher Prizes  

1. For the Amazon Voucher prizes, within 21 days after the closing date, the winners of this prize draw will be drawn at random by BBC Children in Need from all valid entries received.  The winners will be randomly selected using a number generator and this will be completely independent and unbiased. BBC Children in Need’s decision is final on all matters and no correspondence will be entered into.  

1. The Amazon Voucher winners will be contacted by email and/or phone.  BBC Children in Need will endeavour to notify the winners by Wednesday 29th April 2026. If, after reasonable attempt, a winner does not respond to claim their prize within 5 working days (being Monday – Friday) of our first contact, or a winner refuses the prize for any reason, BBC Children in Need reserves the right to offer the prize to the next randomly selected school that validly entered the prize draw. 

1. The Amazon Voucher prizes will be sent out by no later than Tuesday 30th June 2026.  Gift cards will be sent as electronic gift cards to the email address used to enter the prize draw.  This must be a work email address for the relevant school you are entering. 

1. The winners must provide their full name, postal address and email address to BBC Children in Need at the point at which they respond and claim their prize and further details to be sent to. 

1. By entering the prize draw you agree that, if you win, BBC Children in Need may publicise your School name and county.  If you object to any or all of your School name or county being published, please contact BBC Children in Need at [email protected]. In such circumstances, BBC Children in Need must still provide the information to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. 

1. Proof of sending an entry shall not constitute proof of receipt. No responsibility is accepted for entries that are lost, misdirected, late, damaged, incomplete or illegible, nor for any associated costs.  Responsibility will not be accepted by the BBC Children in Need for prize draw entries that are lost, including as a result of any equipment failure, technical malfunction, network, server or software failure of any kind. 

1. BBC Children in Need shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, except for death or personal injury, arising out of the administration of prize draws, or out of the winners’ or any third parties’ enjoyment of the prizes.

1. We reserve the right to hold, void, suspend, cancel or amend the prize draw where it becomes necessary to do so in our opinion, or if circumstances arise outside our control. We may also amend these terms and conditions at any stage and in any way. 

1. These terms and conditions and all other matters arising out of this prize draw (including but not limited to tortious matters)  are governed by the laws of England and Wales and the English courts have jurisdiction.
