As part of this milestone year, broadcaster and presenter Vicky Pattison visited Social Ark, a BBC Children in Need-funded project in East London, to see first-hand how partnership funding is changing young lives. Social Ark supports young people from under-resourced communities through mentoring, social enterprise and tailored programmes that help build confidence, develop leadership skills and create positive opportunities for the future.

Following the visit, Vicky Pattison said: “It was incredibly inspiring to visit Social Ark and see first-hand the impact that BBC Children in Need funding has on young people and their communities. Meeting the project team and hearing about the journeys of the young people they support was really special. It’s amazing to see how fundraising can help create opportunities, build confidence and empower young people to achieve their potential.”
