Cineworld Cinemas are proudly calling “Action” on their 5th year of partnership with BBC Children in Need.
Cineworld is passionate about providing a family-friendly cinema for the local community. Through partnering with BBC Children In Need, Cineworld’s aim is to get everyone involved to raise as much money as possible to support disadvantaged children and young people across the UK.
Their All Star cast of staff channel their favourite action heroes to go above and beyond all year long to raise blockbusting totals at every cinema.
Just like the superheroes on the silver screen they’ve conquered assault courses, hiked miles, scaled mountains, leaped out of airplanes and even dove into the ocean in search of sharks. They’ve shaved their heads, baked up a storm, quizzed their customers on every possible genre of film, and even cycled the whole breadth of the country from the (dis)comfort of their foyers. Like all true heroes they show no sign of stopping; raising over £2m in their first four years of partnership.
And they’ve not forgotten their viewing public. Customers can pick up a pair of Pudsey ears at any Cineworld cinema. Over October half-term, Cineworld held special ‘Movies for Juniors’ screenings with a percentage of ticket sales being donated. You can still get involved now by rounding to the nearest pound when you next purchase your essential movie snacks at the concessions tills.
BBC Children in Need and Cineworld a partnership as sweet as popcorn.
