Tilly

How breathing techniques helped Tilly with her mental health

Treetops Hospice provides counselling for bereaved children, young people and adults, as well as end-of-life nursing care for those with a life-limiting condition.

Breathing exercises, like those used by Treetops Hospice, can be very useful to help manage stress and anxiety.

Thanks to BBC Children in Need funding, Treetops counsellors have been upskilled in supporting children who have experienced the loss of loved ones in traumatic circumstances.

When Tilly’s auntie sadly passed away, breathing techniques helped her to keep her mental health on track.

Breathing techniques you can try at home

Join in with these quick and easy breathing activities, led by a BBC Children in Need project worker from Treetops Hospice.
