Fuelling Potential of 100,000 Children with Asda
AN INCREDIBLE 25 YEARS OF PARTNERSHIP

This year, Asda and BBC Children in Need are celebrating an incredible 25 years of partnership! Since 2000, Asda has raised over £38 million for BBC Children in Need – supporting over 350,000 children and young people across the UK who need us most.
We know it’s vital for children and young people to have nutritious meals and somewhere to feel safe. That’s why Asda colleagues, customers and communities take part in ongoing fundraising for BBC Children in Need.
Following the Fuelling Potential campaign launch in 2023, we’re getting ever closer to our 3-year goal of making life lighter for 100,000 children and young people – in communities just like yours!
A huge THANK YOU to Asda colleagues, customers and communities for getting behind BBC Children in Need year after year!
Introducing the 2025 BBC Children in Need T-shirt…
This year’s official t-shirt has been created Emma Willis, in collaboration with George at Asda. All money raised through the sale of the T-shirt will go towards BBC Children in Need’s & Asda’s Fuelling Potential campaign, a collaboration designed to boost wellbeing for the UK’s children, young people and families by taking steps that include fighting food insecurity.
Asda Community Champion Joanne Mottershead, from the Ashton-under-Lyne store, visited Ashton Youth Project last year to see how funding makes a difference to local youngsters. Ashton Youth Project receives funding from BBC Children in Need to provide a youth club for children and young people living locally. Attending the project enables the children to develop new skills, improve their confidence and self esteem and improve their physical health and wellbeing. They’re able to take part in fun activities, make new friends and enjoy food and healthy snacks.
Emma Betts, Head of National Charity Partnerships at AsdaFor 25 years, Asda and George have stood proudly alongside BBC Children in Need – helping to fuel the potential of children and young people across the UK. Together with our colleagues, customers and suppliers, we’ve raised over £38 million. Our support helps to fight food insecurity, boost wellbeing and bring joy to families. Just as a supermarket nourishes with food and fashion helps children express who they are, our partnership makes life lighter, brighter and full of possibility for the next generation.

Whether you picked up some Pudsey goodies from George, shopped our Official Tee, or donated online through your local Asda store – thank you – we really couldn’t do it without you.
