Blackpool Carers Centre
It’s been three years since DIY SOS visited the Blackpool Carers Centre, a project funded by your donations, to transform a run-down building into a fun, safe and supportive environment for young people.
When they come here the whole point of being here is that they are able to be a child.
The centre’s incredible project workers support children from the age of 5 who are caring for a family member. Here the young people are able to have some respite and learn valuable skills such as cooking or budgeting for a shopping list, as well as getting the chance to socialise with other children in similar situations.
