BBC Children in Need Design a Duck competition terms and conditions

By entering the competition you are deemed to accept these T&C
  1. This competition is only open to residents of the UK, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. This competition is open to children aged 16 and under, and their parent or guardian (who must be over 18) must enter on their behalf. There is no limit on the number of entries per person. No purchase is necessary.
  2. The competition is not open to employees (or members of their immediate families) of the BBC or BBC Children in Need or any other person connected with this competition.
  3. Entries open Friday 12th June 2020. All entries must be made through the BBC Children in Need Uploader (compatible browsers that will need to be used to access Uploader are: Chrome on macOS and Windows 10, Firefox on macOS and Windows 10, Safari on macOS, Edge on Windows 10, IE11 on Windows 10, Chrome on Android 7, 8 and 9, Chrome on iOS 9, 10, 11, 12, Safari on iOS 9, 10, 11, 12, Samsung Internet Browser on a Galaxy S8, Silk on Kindle Fire 7″ tablet). There is no other method of entry.  All entries must be received by midnight on the closing date of Wednesday 24th June 2020. Entries received after this time will not entered in to the competition. BBC Children in Need will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by it for any reason, by the closing date, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions
  4. To enter, entrants or their parent or guardian (who must be over 18) need to download the duck template made available on our website, complete their design and then parent or guardian of the entrant must upload the design to our Uploader on their child’s behalf providing all requested information and following the instructions on the site.
  5. The entries will be judged based on creativity, originality and artistic merit of their design.
  6. There will be 1 winner. BBC Children in Need will shortlist 20 entries.  The shortlisted entries (but no personal data) will then be sent to Greggs plc and Twinkl Ltd who together will choose the winner.
  7. The parent or guardian of the winner will be contacted by a member of BBC Children in Need by email or telephone (as applicable) by no later than 29th of June 2020. If a winner cannot be contacted following reasonable efforts by midnight on 30th June 2020, that winner will lose their entitlement to their prize. Please note that shortlisted entrants will not be contacted unless they are the winner.
  8. All decisions of BBC Children in Need, Twinkl Ltd and Greggs plc are final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The prize is that the winner will have their duck design feature in BBC Children in Need’s iconic annual duck race and on our social media channels. The winner’s first name and age will be displayed along with promotions.
  10. The prize is not transferable. No part of the prize is exchangeable for cash or any other prize.
  11. By entering the competition, you agree that, BBC Children in Need may publicise the entrant’s name and age if they are the winner.
  12. The entrant will retain copyright in their design but grants to BBC Children in Need the perpetual, royalty free, worldwide right to recreate the design in 2D and 3D form and to use, reproduce, publish, broadcast and exhibit such design in any media and across any platforms. No fees will be payable for any of the above uses.
