Volunteers Needed
come and join us
BBC Children in Need have vacancies for new committee members from time to time for its national and regional advisory committees. Some areas also recruit new Chairs for their committees too. We would welcome applications from those who share our commitment to support children and young people to be safe, happy, secure, and provided with the opportunities they need to reach their potential.
BBC Children in Need supports children and young people affected by a whole range of disadvantages such as poverty, disability, illness, distress or trauma. Our aim is to achieve a positive impact with and for children and young people who experience disadvantage. To do this we raise money both throughout the year and in our annual November appeal. Through this we are able to fund local charities and projects that help to remove barriers that face children and young people, and enable them to thrive. While we want to act quickly to meet need and deliver important outcomes for children and young people, we know we can do this best when our decisions are well informed. Along with data, information and evidence of need, the committees are a key part in helping us to make grants that put our resources to work where they’re needed most. We highly value the benefits of having different points of view and experiences on our committees and welcome applications from everyone irrespective of sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, ethnicity, faith and religion, disability and age.
We don’t currently have any open committee vacancies
