Rainbow

Rainbow, 18 from Liverpool
Rainbow was born with anavidea mystagnus, a condition which has seen his sight slowly deteriorate. By the age of 9 he had lost his sight in both eyes. Rainbow has refused to let his circumstances hold him back and is described by many as a great force of positivity. A keen sportsman, Rainbow represents his country on the British blind football team and is a passionate advocate for visually impaired young people, actively engaged in making sure their voices are heard. He is an ambassador for BBC Children in Need funded project, British Blind Sport which encourages young visually impaired pupils to get involved in sport.
British Blind Sport
This project provides sports activities for children and young people with visual impairments across the UK. Outcomes include increased physical activity levels, increased confidence and reduced isolation.
