Working with children- where to find help and support
As a funder, Children in Need has a duty to ensure that the organisations we fund have high standards for keeping children safe. We recognise our role and responsibility in promoting effective safeguarding practice across the charitable sector by setting high standards for safeguarding. In order to receive funding, all organisations will need to meet our minimum standards for safeguarding, which are outlined here.
Effective safeguarding is achieved thought an organisation’s policy, procedure, recruitment and culture. These are the factors we will assess as part of the application process. If your application is declined on the basis of safeguarding, we will always inform you of the reason(s) for this.
We recommend that you refer to the NSPCC Website for the latest advice on safeguarding children in the voluntary and community sector
