Free, accredited youth work training for CiN grantees

Want to start working with young people or embed youth work skills within your service offer?

Utilising funding from our partnership with McDonald’s, it’s BBC Children in Need’s ambition to help attract 500 new youth workers into the sector over three years.  This work can now begin with our partners in Scotland and England, with the offer for grantees in both Wales and Northern Ireland to follow in the next couple of months.

Gaining a qualification in youth work will enable you to improve the outcomes of young people, as well as build the credibility of your team with statutory sector services.

For Grantees based in England

In partnership with the National Youth Agency, we are offering our grantees free youth work training at Levels 2 or 3, as well as the new Level 4 CPD for those who already have a Level 3 or equivalent in Youth work Practice or related discipline.

Don’t miss this opportunity to access one of 104 youth work qualifications delivered by the National Youth Agency this year.

Courses on offer are:

  • Level 2 Award in Youth Work Principles
An introductory accredited youth work qualification to build confidence in working with young people. This course can be undertaken alongside a tutor, or self-led.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Youth Work Principles
A JNC recognised qualification supplying the skills and knowledge learners need to become a competent Youth Support Worker.
  • Level 4 Certificate in Professional Development
A course designed for those already in youth work or working with young people through multi-agency work who want to deepen their understanding in a particular field of practice or professional setting.
