Positive Relationships
The real stories behind the campaign
BBC Children in Need’s ‘Positive Relationships’ campaign highlights the importance of being there for children and young people when they need us most.
We know that times are incredibly tough for too many kids which is why your donations are more important than ever. They allow us to fund local grassroots projects up and down the UK that can really help to turn young lives around. Our projects support, inspire and champion children and young people, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive and be the best they can be.
BBC Creative project lead Shishir Patel said:
“We set out to make the work that BBC Children in Need do feel real and tangible. To show that they have their finger on the pulse of the issues that face children in the UK today, and understand what’s needed to address them. Finally, we wanted to hero the project workers and charities who help turn these young lives around, thanks to the funding and support they receive from BBC Children in Need.”
Both ‘Carly’ and ‘Luke’ are inspired by real life stories from the projects that BBC Children in Need supports year-round. We spoke to staff from our funded projects to understand some of the real stories behind ‘Positive Relationships.’
