Our Focus on Childhood Bereavement
Across the UK, it’s estimated that 1 in 29 school age children have been bereaved of a parent or sibling – that’s a child in every class. *
Bereaved children and young people can face short and long-term issues which have been made worse by the pandemic. Lockdown restrictions means families have not been able to say goodbye in the way they wanted to, and social distancing may have intensified feelings of grief and isolation.
Here you can find out more about the impact of the pandemic on childhood bereavement and how we’re using your donations to support those who need it most right now.
