Privacy Notice
BBC Children in Need will collect and process the personal information that you provide to us for the purposes of administering the prize draw if you enter. BBC Children in Need is the ‘data controller’ of this information and process the data on the basis of our legitimate interests to interact with supporters to obtain feedback in relation to promotions.
Your data may be shared with our fulfilment partner Multi Resource Marketing Ltd for the purpose of fulfilment only if you win the prize draw.
We will retain details of your survey submission for 6 months. BBC Children in Need’s Privacy Policy which includes contact details and how to exercise your rights, including how to request your details are deleted, is available at www.bbcchildreninneed.co.uk/fundraisinghub/privacy
Prize Draw Terms and Condition
- The prize draw is open to all entrants in the UK, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man, aged 18 years or over, except anyone closely connected with the prize draw or any BBC Children in Need employees or relatives. One entry per person. Entrants are eligible to enter the prize draw if they choose to enter and submit the survey having completed all compulsory sections.
- By entering, all entrants will be deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions.
- The prize is 1 of 5 “Pudsey parcels”. Each “Pudsey Parcel” consists of a BBC Children in Need Eleanor Bowmer Mug, BBC Children in Need Eleanor Bowmer Tea Towel, Pudsey Ears and a BBC Children in Need Pin Badge. There is 1 prize of 1 Pudsey Bear signed by Joe Wicks.
- No payment, purchase or investment is necessary to be eligible to enter the prize draw. To enter, you must complete all compulsory sections of the BBC Children in Need 2021 supporters survey and choose to enter. There is no other method of entry.
- Entries open on 7th December 2021 and close on 3rd January 2022. All entries must be received by midnight on the closing date of 3rd January 2022.
- Entries from third party agents or bulk entries will not be eligible.
- Entries received after the closing date will not be included in the prize draw. BBC Children in Need will not be responsible for any entries that are not received by it for any reason, by the closing date, whether lost, delayed, corrupted or otherwise, and whether or not due to any technical difficulties or malfunctions.
- Unclear entries will not be eligible for the prize draw and acceptance of an entry is subject to BBC Children in Need’s reasonable discretion.
- Within five working days after the closing date the winners of this prize draw will be drawn at random by BBC Children in Need from all valid entries received. The winners will be randomly selected using a number generator and this will be completely independent and unbiased. BBC Children in Need’s decision is final on all matters and no correspondence will be entered into. The first 6 valid entries to be drawn will win the prizes. Prizes are allocated randomly and winners are not entitled to choose any particular prize.
- The winners will be contacted by email. BBC Children in Need will endeavour to notify the winners within 5 working days of the prize draw taking place. If, after reasonable attempts, a winner cannot be contacted, or a winner refuses the prize for any reason, BBC Children in Need reserves the right to offer the prize to another randomly valid entry.
- Entrant’s data may be shared with our fulfilment partner Multi Resource Marketing Ltd for the purpose of prize fulfilment only. By entering the prize draw you agree that BBC Children in Need may publicise your name and your county if you win.
- The prize will be sent to the address provided by the winner when they are contacted. The prize must be accepted as offered; there is no cash alternative or replacement.
- The prize is not transferable and cannot be exchanged for any other prize or cash alternatives in whole or in part. In the event of unforeseen circumstances or if circumstances outside our reasonable control make it necessary, BBC Children in Need reserves the right to replace an entire prize of equal or greater value.
- BBC Children in Need exclude liability to the full extent permitted by law for any loss, damage or injury whatsoever to any persons, arising out of the administration of the prize draw, or out of any of the winners’ or any third parties enjoyment of the prizes.
- Prizes are awarded at BBC Children in Need’s discretion and in accordance with these terms and conditions and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.
- This prize draw is promoted by BBC Children in Need, registered charity 802052 (England & Wales) and SC039557 (Scotland). Our address is Bridge House, Media City UK, Salford, M50 2BH.
- The applicable law is that of England and Wales.
- BBC Children in Need reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time.
