Cara’s story
Cara’s story is difficult to watch, but it’s incredibly important.
Country walks have long been a favourite past time for Cara. She grew up in Cheshire, alongside her older sister, Elle, and her Mum, Becky, and her bubbly personality has seen her lead an active and busy young life.
Cara and Elle were more twins than sisters. That’s why, when Elle had to go to hospital, Cara’s world fell apart.
Elle was born with Cystic Fibrosis, but despite her condition she lived life to the full, and with a variety of treatments she was able to live a relatively healthy and fun childhood. Years later, Elle contracted a severe virus that meant immediate medical intervention was needed. Thankfully, her sister, Cara, could be there for her. But, sadly, Elle didn’t recover.
For children like Cara, who find their lives devastated by losing a sibling, care and support is vital. Your donations help make this support possible, funding counsellors like Jackie to give children like Cara an outlet for their grief, and the tools they need to cope for the rest of their lives.
