Eviegrace’s story

Josh’s wife, Samantha, was 37 weeks pregnant with their second daughter when she was hospitalised with COVID-19. Two weeks after Eviegrace was born, Samantha died. While dealing with his grief, Josh was left at home with a new-born and a four-year-old about to start school.

The Strathfoyle Women’s Activity Group offers respite for families who are struggling for a variety of reasons. The organisation was able to reach out to Josh and his two small children to offer support, thanks to funding from Children in Need. Josh, Eviegrace and the family are now coping well.
