We have updated our Donor and Fundraiser Privacy Policies and Cookie Policy to reflect some changes in our activities.  You can find our new Privacy Policy here and our new Cookie Policy here.  Below is a summary of what has changed.  

What has changed? 

We’ve made it clearer that, to help better personalise our interactions with you, we keep a record of what you have read from our newsletter (if you are subscribed). 

We’ve made it clear that we group our supporters into clusters depending on the fundraising or donation amount so we can tailor our interactions with you appropriately.  For those we identify in a certain group we’ve made it clear that we may get in touch by email (unless you didn’t sign up to our newsletter or you tell us you no longer want to hear from us) or phone to thank you and talk to you about your support. 

We’ve made it clear that we keep a record of your interactions with us so we can carry out our activities and provide supporter care in an effective way. 

We’ve also updated the privacy policy to bring it in line with our current activities and suppliers and to reflect the current status of transfers of personal data to the USA. 

We’ve also made it clear that we sometimes use your data to check we can accept your donation. 

Our Philanthropy Programme  

We are starting a philanthropy programme which means we’ll use your data in different ways.  Therefore our privacy policy now tells you about this, our lawful basis for doing it and how you can get in touch with us if you are not comfortable with this new use of your data.  As part of this philanthropy programme, we analyse supporter information and carry out research on some of our supporters (and potential new supporters) using reliable public sources.  We never use third parties to do this for us.   This helps us to effectively make appropriate requests to those who may be able to support us at a higher level. If you would prefer us not to use your data in this way you can contact us at any time using the details below.
