Apple Doughnuts
What could be more fun than making tasty treats together? These apple doughnuts are one of our favourite no-bake recipes for children and adults to tackle together.
What you will need
To make 15 doughnut rings, you’ll need:
- 150g soft cheese
- 2 teaspoons of honey
- 3 crunchy eating apples
- A small round biscuit cutter or apple corer
- Kitchen paper
- Optional: 3-4 tablespoons of almond or peanut butter (beware of allergies!)
- Colourful sprinkles
How to do it
- Place the soft cheese and honey in a bowl and mix well.
- This step is for adults only: lay each apple on its side and carefully slice it into five or six circles. Each ring should be around a centimetre thick.
- Spread out your apple circles and use the apple corer or biscuit cutter to remove the middle of each – where the core is – turning them into rings.
- Dry off each ring as much as possible by patting it with kitchen paper.
- If you’re using peanut or almond butter, now’s the time to spread it on each ring.
- Spread the soft cheese and honey mixture on top.
- Go wild with your colourful sprinkles to top off these delicious treats!
