When Louisa’s Mum, Linsey, was diagnosed with cancer, the family turned to Maggie’s in Newcastle, a centre offering support for families with the illness. Earlier this year, Linsey’s cancer progressed very rapidly and she was admitted to hospital at the start of coronavirus pandemic. Sadly, Louisa wasn’t able to see her Mum on the hospital ward, a situation that the whole family found really difficult. But your donations help fund the role of the Centre Head at Maggie’s, Karen, and she was able to open the centre premises just for Louisa to spend a happy afternoon with her Mum and Dad, having fun and making memories to treasure.
