Countryfile Ramble 2021: Meet Alfie and Elizabeth
Meet 14-year-old Alfie, and his sister, 12-year-old Elizabeth, two incredibly close siblings taking part in this year’s Countryfile Ramble to raise awareness and fundraise for BBC Children in Need.
Alfie and Elizabeth have always looked out for each other, so back in 2018, when Alfie was diagnosed with a type of cancer that resulted in him having his leg amputated, life was suddenly turned upside down for both siblings.
As Alfie worked hard to teach himself how to walk, cycle and swim again using his prosthetic leg, your donations meant that Hope House Hospice could be there to provide vital emotional and wellbeing support to Elizabeth, to help manage her emotions and ensure she had the opportunity to meet other families in similar situations.
Please join us for Countryfile Ramble on Sunday 24th October, BBC One at 5.55pm to watch as Alfie, Elizabeth and other inspirational children and young people walk to change young lives.
