How we identify our local geographic and thematic areas of interest

There are several ways we identify our geographic and thematic areas of interest:

number 1

We look at where the projects we currently fund are delivering

number 2

We look at the barriers children and young people are experiencing

number 3

We listen to the voices of children and young people

number 4

We listen to projects who tell us about the current and emerging needs of the sector, since the arrival of the pandemic

number 5

We look at the wider funding landscape, government policy and research at a local level

number 6

We consider the key Covid-19 themes across the UK that our research team have identified

We recognise that there is a complex picture of regional variation across the four nations, including ward level variations and there are needs within areas that otherwise appear to be well served.
